Graduation and Senior Shirt Appliqué
Updated October 15, 2026
Senior year and graduation are big appliqué moments. A bold “Senior” or a class year in school colors turns a plain hoodie into a keepsake, and the arch layout gives it a varsity feel.
Suggested settings
| Setting | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| Text | Senior, or a short name; the year as its own small design |
| Font | Alfa Slab One or Bevan for a classic look |
| Layout | Straight for a single word, arch flat for a longer one |
| Letter height | 2 in: “Senior” is about 9 in wide; at 3 in it is about 13 |
| Satin color | School colors, with the fabric in the second color |
Tips
- Long text gets very wide: “SENIOR 2027” is about 19 in across at 2 in tall (about 9.5 in at 1 in). Make the year a separate design, or use a large commercial hoop.
- Numbers are narrow in some fonts. Check that the 2 and 7 stay open in the preview.
- For a graduation gown stole or banner, choose a larger height and a woven, stable fabric.
