Printable embroidery hoop templates
Print a true-size outline of your hoop, with centre marks and a ruler, to position a design on the garment before you hoop it.

Design outline (optional, mm)
Print at 100%, not "Fit to page", then check that the 50 mm square on the sheet measures 50 mm.
Use the template to mark the centre on the garment, then hoop with the marks lined up. The ruler ticks are every 10 mm.
Print preview at true size. The white area is the paper: print it at 100% (Actual size) and the outline comes out exactly as big as your hoop.
Using a hoop template
Cut around the outline, lay it on the garment and move it until the centre lines sit where the design should go. Mark the centre with a water-soluble pen or a pin, then hoop the fabric with that mark at the centre of the hoop.
Hoop size
The sizes offered are typical hoop sizes. The actual sewing field of your machine can be smaller. To see how big a design is, open it in the file viewer and enter its size here as the design outline.
Questions
Why must I print at 100%?
The template is drawn in real millimetres. If your printer scales the page to fit, the outline comes out the wrong size. The 50 mm square on the sheet lets you check.
My hoop is larger than the paper. What can I do?
Print on a larger sheet, or mark just the centre lines and the edges of the area on the garment with a ruler. The template warns you when it does not fit the page.
Can I add my design to the template?
Yes. Enter the design's width and height and a dashed outline of it is drawn at the centre of the hoop.
